Shot Peening

FB roller chain features rollers and link plates fortified against fatigue by shot peening. This additional operation creates beneficial residual compressive stress on the surface of the component increasing the fatigue strength.

Double Punched Link Plates

The process of re-punching the plate holes corrects the taper normally found following the conventional blanking. The double punched hole is accurate and parallel improving component fit and significantly increasing the fatigue strength.

Continuous Pre-Loading

All FB roller chain is pre-loaded following final assembly. This process ensures the correct seating of component parts and greatly reduces initial chain elongation.
