FB Chain will be exhibiting at bauma (The International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment) in Munich from April 8th to 14th, 2019.

The bauma exhibition has been held every three years since 1954 and is widely acknowledged as being the event that brings together the construction machinery industry in its entire breadth and depth.

More than 3,500 exhibitors from 55 countries will be attending this year's show, with the opportunity for visitors to view a wide variety of exhibitor presentations, panel discussions and live demonstrations.

In this blog post we list the event highlights, and we provide a check-list of all you'll need to know to plan your visit.

Why attend bauma 2019?

Bauma 2019 promises to provide a complete overview of the global construction industry, with representation from all branches and sectors of construction, spread over four key categories:

1. Construction sites - including trucks and construction vehicles; lifting appliances and conveyors; powertrain, motors and hydraulics; formwork and scaffoldings; the handling and processing of concrete and mortar; site installation and construction site safety.

2. Mining, extraction and processing of raw materials - with more than one fifth of all the bauma participants in 2016 coming from the mining sector, the exhibition has developed a reputation as a global leader in the mining industry. The exhibition will showcase a wide variety of mining equipment including machines for drilling, extraction and tunnel construction; the handling of raw materials, and mineral processing.

3. The production of building materials - including the manufacture of cement, lime and gypsum compounds; machines and systems for producing concrete, concrete products, 3D printing and pre-fabricated components; building material handling and packaging.

4. Components and service suppliers - covering everything from transmission engineering, power generation units and fluid technology to machines and systems for additive manufacturing; test, measurement and process control engineering; communication and navigation and workplace safety.
